I had zero travel experience before deciding to volunteer in Madagascar, and even with that I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There was never a time where I felt unsafe or scared. On weekends, we had the opportunity to see and do so many amazing things. My projects were worthwhile and meaningful to the community. Also, I met some amazing people that I can now consider lifelong friends. This experience was worth everything and more.

If flora and fauna aren’t your bag, then Madagascar’s 5000 km of coastline provides you some particularly stunning beaches to explore. Our Madagascar tour packages give you a chance to get involved in habitat restoration, teaching, animal care and hands-on renovation work.

The Program

The Nosy Be Construction and Renovation Project supports small communities on and around the island by focusing on the development of essential school infrastructure. This project contributes to the growth and development of children and local communities. Working under a local coordinator, you'll receive guidance and training to collaborate with local families and fellow participants. The project entails physically demanding manual labor, including bricklaying, carpentry, painting, waterproofing, tiling, landscaping/gardening, and enhancing community hygiene and sanitation facilities.
