Booking and Tour Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made via our online form or through an approved travel agent. The primary booker ('Lead Name') must be at least 18 years old and agree to these terms on behalf of all party members.
  • Credit or debit card payments can be made through your account portal. You can secure your booking with a deposit or by paying the full amount.
  • Full payment is due 60 days before your tour's departure. Failure to pay by this date may result in cancellation without a refund.
  • Inform us of any medical or other conditions that could affect your or others' tour experience.
  • Tours are confirmed at least 28 days before departure. If a tour is not confirmed, you'll receive a full refund or can transfer your deposit to another tour.

Date Changes & Deposits

  • Date changes or placing a booking 'on hold' requires 60 days' notice and incurs a GBP 30 administrative fee.
  • Customers may transfer their booking to another tour, provided the new tour is of equal or greater value.

Name Changes

  • Replacements for cancelled trips are not allowed. Our standard cancellation policy applies.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (email).
  • No refund for optional extras cancellation unless we can't provide the service.
  • Cancellation fees: loss of deposit if cancelled more than 60 days before departure, full payment if less than 60 days.
  • Cancellation fees for injury, illness, travel issues, or unforeseen global events aren't waived.
  • Travel insurance is mandatory and may cover cancellation fees.
  • Any issues or concerns must be communicated to us immediately during the tour, allowing us the opportunity to rectify the matter promptly. Claims made after the conclusion of the tour may not be considered for refunds or compensation.

Travel Insurance

  • Ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance. Details must be provided at least 28 days before departure.

Itinerary & Accommodation Changes

  • Itinerary and accommodation may change without notice. If the original activities are unavailable, alternative activities of equal or greater value may be provided.

Baggage

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen baggage. Travel insurance is compulsory.

Conduct

  • Follow the guidance of Backpacking Tours Limited staff and respect local cultures and fellow travellers.
  • Failure to comply may result in removal from the tour without a refund.

Limitations of Liability

  • We are not liable for third-party failures or any personal injury, death, or loss related to the tour.

Extra Activities & Accommodation

  • Book through the website, payable 28 days before the tour starts.
  • No refunds for cancelled extras.
  • Mixed-gender accommodation is standard unless requested otherwise.

Deals, Discounts & Promotions

  • Cannot be combined with other offers.

Payments & Pricing

  • Tour prices may change due to exchange rates, but your balance remains fixed in your chosen currency.
