We should always be healthy and maintain our fitness. However, it depends on the project you choose and you should always be ready to work.
During your time, you will be accommodated at our accommodation. All our accommodations are dormitory style, shared and gender based rooms. We also provide private rooms (Dormitory style) subject to availability which you can request for at an extra cost. Whichever room you will choose, we provide clean, tidy, secured and basic facilities.

We're all about serving up tasty veggie and non-veggie dishes, made with simple, fresh, and local ingredients. We've got your allergies covered, so no worries there. We've got you sorted with three yummy meals on weekdays, and two awesome meals on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays.
We accept participants aged from 16 and above. Participants under the age of 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian. There is no upper age limit however, we recommend participants to check with the program options that are available.
You sure do. After you finish for the day during weekdays, it is your free time to do whatever you like.However, we request you to follow the rules, that are explained to you, at all times. Saturdays and Sundays is your free days.
Our Culture week program covers most of the topics including culture shock and how to adapt to Culture and Traditions. One should come with an open mind. We suggest you to go through the program guide.

Your deposit ensures your reservation for the tour or program. It guarantees your spot until 60 days prior to the scheduled commencement date, at which time the outstanding balance must be settled in full. Failure to complete payment by the specified deadline will result in the cancellation of your reservation, and the vacancy may be offered to another prospective participant. The remaining balance can be found in your account, and multiple reminders will be sent in advance of the due date to ensure timely payment.
The simple answer is "NO" with one proviso we will come onto. Certainly, we do not allow storing or drinking alcohol inside our center.
The power plugs and sockets suitable for Madagascar are of type C, D, E, J and K. The standard voltage is 127 / 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
There are hand washing facilities at the center where you can do your laundry by yourselves. You can also give it to the local ladies to wash the cloths for a fee of 500 AR per piece.
Sunday is our complimentary pickup day. If you fly on a Saturday, a representative can collect you but it will come at an extra cost and you have to inform us about it in advance before your depart for Madagascar.
There are ATMs, Supermarkets, banks, restaurants and shopping centers which can be reached within few mins by tuk tuk or taxi from our Center.
Yes, we do provide mosquito nets in the house, but please bring insect / mosquito repellent for your use.
Although your dress code depends on which part of the exchange you are on and what time of year it is, you should bear in mind some basic points.
It is best to observe how local people dress and copy them, they will take this as a great compliment and a sign of respect for their culture. The safest choice of clothes to bring is "smart casual.” Remember that while working on whichever program, the priority is to feel comfortable and dedicate your time to help out. Make sure to pack according to your needs and preferences.
It is recommended that you visit your personal physician or a travel health clinic 4 to 8 weeks before your departure to Madagascar. Recommended vaccinations before arriving here include Yellow Fever, hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus diphtheria. Furthermore, if you plan to stay for a longer period, you will need to get shots of other diseases such as Rabies and
Hepatitis B.
You might want to bring some type of oral antibiotic that can help with stomach ailments. Even though the places you eat will be clean and hygienic, there is always a chance of upset stomach often depending upon how delicate your constitution, but the problem
normally passes quickly with suitable medication.
Nosy Be is far safer than other parts of Madagascar, but you should be cautious all the time. Make sure you have an insurance in case of any incident. Take responsibility of your actions. Threats can come in the form of health or theft, such as pickpocketing, robbery, assault.
Therefore, it is always best to be extra careful in the crowded places such as markets, beaches, and public transportation. Do not carry valuable items with you and in case of theft or loss of your valuables please file a complaint at the police. The police report will
help you to claim the loss from your insurance.
The island of Nosy Be is located off the northwest coast of Madagascar. In Nosy Be, the climate is tropical and hot all year round. There is a rainy and hot season from November to April, and a dry season from May to October.
